RAD Story
RAD continues to take on new projects and clients, with a focus on building thoughtful, user-centered applications that solve real problems. Now offering web design and development, application development, cybersecurity, and devops / deployment. The practice is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow, both technically and as a business.
Windsor Door engaged RAD to build a purpose-built RFID scanning application for their warehouse operations. The tool is used directly by the outbound shipping team to track and verify inventory movement through the facility, replacing a manual process with a purpose-built digital workflow.
RAD was contracted to redesign and redevelop the Mayan Exploration Center mobile application, a tool used both by the organization and as a public educational resource. The application functions as a calendar converter, translating dates between the ancient Mayan calendar system and the modern Gregorian calendar.
When client volume slowed, a salaried developer role at Dillard's Inc. offered a different kind of education. Working within an enterprise engineering organization clarified what large-scale development actually looks like: disciplined coding standards, structured deployment pipelines, and the organizational patterns that make complex software maintainable at scale.
Fence World engaged RAD to modernize their office operations end to end. The engagement produced two distinct products: an internet-facing website for customer acquisition and an internal intranet application built for day-to-day business operations. The project required product thinking alongside technical execution across the full stack.
In 2021, the practice was rebranded as Robinson App Development to reflect an expanded service offering that now included mobile and desktop application development. The new scope brought Nest.js into the backend stack alongside .NET Core and .NET MAUI for cross-platform application development.
Founded in 2019 under the name sitesbytim.com, the practice launched with a focus on digital marketing and web development for small to medium-sized businesses. Those early engagements were instructive in every direction: first clients, first deliverables, and first hard lessons. WordPress anchored the client work while React and Next.js built the technical foundation in parallel.
